Refund policy
One rule, stated plainly: a government fee already paid to an agency is not ours to return, and our own fee is earned by the work actually done.
Before anything is filed
If you stop the engagement before a single document is submitted to an agency, our service fee is refunded in full, less any third party cost already incurred on your instruction, such as a newspaper publication or a notarisation.
After a submission
Once a document has been lodged, our fee is settled in proportion to the work done, on the split shown in your quote. The half invoiced on engagement covers the document set and the sequencing; it is not refundable after submission.
Government fees
Government fees are paid to the agency and receipted. We do not hold them and cannot refund them. Where an agency refunds a fee, the refund is passed to you in full, with the receipt and the transaction reference.
Refusal by the agency
A refusal is not a refund event. It is a filing event: the file goes back, the reason is addressed, and it is filed again. Where a refusal is caused by a document we prepared incorrectly, we refile at no additional service fee. Where it is caused by a document or a fact you supplied, the refiling is quoted separately.
