The principal
Accountable for the file, the advice and the invoice. Signs the engagement letter and stays reachable until closing.
LPP was founded in France in 2023 and works between Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Southeast Asia. The practice stays deliberately small: the person who takes your call is the person who does the work.
Quentin founded LPP in France in 2023. He leads every engagement personally, from the first conversation to the closing note, and works with counsel admitted in each jurisdiction where a filing or appearance is required.
His work sits where structure meets regulation: company and contract architecture, data and AI compliance, cross-border mobility, and property income. Most of it involves two or more countries, and at least one decision that cannot wait for a committee.
He works in English and French. Where a matter needs a local language, the associate counsel instructed on the file handles it directly.
LPP is the trading name of Quentin Mouilhaud. The office is at 50 Route de Royan, 17132 Meschers-sur-Gironde, France.
The practice is small, but no one works alone. Each matter has the same three layers, named in the engagement letter.
Accountable for the file, the advice and the invoice. Signs the engagement letter and stays reachable until closing.
Admitted in the jurisdiction, named before any filing. Executes appearances and notarial acts where the law requires it.
Documents, translations, deadlines and the shared calendar. One place for everything, one version of the truth.
Every person who works on your file is named in the engagement letter, with their role. If that changes, you are told before it happens.
Each market has a named desk. Each desk works with counsel admitted there. Nothing is routed through a generic inbox.
| Desk | Base | Remit |
|---|---|---|
| France | Meschers-sur-Gironde | Corporate, regulatory, data, property, client ownership |
| China | Associated desk | Sourcing, supplier contracts, market entry, IP |
| Thailand | Associated desk | Structures, property, hospitality, mobility |
| Cambodia | Associated desk | Incorporation, licensing, leases, permits |
| Laos | Associated desk | Entry structures, licensing, employment |
| Philippines | Associated desk | Registration, visas, annual compliance |
These are not values on a wall. They are the terms on which the practice runs, and you can ask us to confirm any of them in writing.
No matter is accepted before a conflict check. If we are conflicted, we decline and say why.
Work begins after a written scope. The fee is fixed for that scope, or the basis for it is stated plainly.
If part of the matter belongs to another professional, we say so at the start and coordinate them.
Your first message is confidential. An NDA is available before you send documents.
Documents are returned or transferred on request, in a usable format, at the end of the engagement.
We do not publish client names, matters or outcomes. Discretion is part of the service, not a favour.
Messages are answered within one business day. If we are in a hearing or travelling, you are told in advance.
If we are not the right practice for the matter, we say so early and point you to someone who is.
A short, fixed sequence. You always know which step you are on and what comes next.
Thirty minutes, no charge. Jurisdictions, parties, deadline, and whether we can add something.
A one-page letter: deliverables, exclusions, the local counsel required, fee and timetable.
Filings, drafting and negotiation, with updates at the milestones named in the scope.
A closing note, the documents in one folder, and a list of what to watch next.
The first conversation is free. Everything after it is quoted in writing, so the invoice never arrives as a surprise.
The default. One price for a defined scope, agreed before work starts.
Only where the scope genuinely cannot be fixed, with a ceiling agreed in advance.
Official fees and local counsel charges at cost, with receipts and no mark-up.
We do not bill for time we cannot justify, promise an outcome, or start work without a written scope. If a matter is outside our competence, we decline it.
A firm you have not worked with should be verifiable. We would rather answer the question now than have you wonder later.
Full name, role and the person accountable for your file, confirmed in the engagement letter.
50 Route de Royan, 17132 Meschers-sur-Gironde, France. Visits by appointment.
Before any filing outside France, you receive the name and status of the counsel instructed for your matter.
Engagement letter, fee schedule, conflict confirmation and closing note, all in writing.
That is a reasonable way to start. Tell us what is small, and we will quote it.
